Unlike solid roller shutters the open lattice nature of their construction allow light into the room space. This provides an additional benefit during warmer months when doors and windows are left open ,the grilles can be pulled across and locked to allow fresh air to enter.
Description
The collapsible gate grilles comprise of folding vertical pickets and with cross lattice sections enclosed within top and bottom tracks, on which the gate slides on bottom running wheels .
Construction
Manufactured from pre-galvanized solid cold rolled steel channels forming the vertical pickets ( 16 x 10 x 3mm thick ) and cross lattice sections ( 16 x 10 x 2mm thick) all connected together with steel washers and bifurcated rivets to ensure easy movement . Top and bottom tracks cold rolled from 3mm steel into a ‘ W ‘ shaped section for strength and rigidity .The provision of a anti – jemmy strip ( 51 x 3mm thick )
Locking
Standard locking of the gate is provided by our heavy duty standard 7 Pin Tumbler Radial lock , which key feature enables swift closure without a key. Alternatively Adams – rite style hook locks provide locking with a Euro profile Cylinder for suiting with other doors. Lastly our patent multi point lock provides 3 points of locking from a single key. Customers own Padlocks can be accommodated with welded cleats.
Fitting and Retracted Bunching
Specialist fixings and careful consideration of the locking position and bunching of the gate greatly enhance its strength and minimise its visual appearance. Suited to reveal or face fixture and using tamper proof fixings where necessary is provided on all four sides and the gates overall strength is further enhanced by the provision of security bolts in each corner forming a rigid framework for added security. The lack of bulky side framing enables , when open the gates to fold back to the sides and take up only 15% of the overall width.
Customised Extras
For Grilles fitted in a doorway locations the potential for a trip hazard is negated by providing a Hinged Lift up Track and where necessary a swivel hinge aside facility for the Bunch as to leave the opening as wide as possible. In irregular openings ,the bespoke nature of construction allows for the extra welding of angles and packers to the gate surround ,for a more harmonious fit on installation.
Finish
Standard finish is polyester powder coat white with other standard colours available on request.
